I've Removed the Print Book for Visions of Death: The Music Department Murders from Amazon

I have several friends and colleagues who will not shop on Amazon.

It's taken me some time to figure out what to do about the paperback for my supernatural suspense, Visions of Death, which was only available through Amazon, even though I published the paperback and an ebook of The Unmoving Sky through Draft2Digital years ago. I'm happy to work with them. They've been an outstanding resource for authors.

I don't know why I stayed. Maybe because I serialized that book first on Kindle Vella and felt some loyalty? Odd, right?

I'm over it. It's like staying with an abusive partner. And we all know how Amazon treats authors and Kindle owners.

At my last authors' meetup, which I host once a month, I told the group I wouldn't be able to publish a paperback for that book because it would cause confusion, mostly due to ISBNs. One of my author friends said, Why don't you unpublish it from Amazon? DING!

So that's what I did! Yay, me. It also allows me the opportunity to clean up those pesky typos for the subsequent edition.

I kept sending people to the Draft2Digital sources, and they are W I D E.  You may have seen my last blog post about my excitement over my books being available through Bookshop.org. D2D also distributes through Barnes & Noble, Apple, Kobo, Smashwords, and several libraries, Overdrive, Fable, and more. If you don't see a book you want at your local library, ask for it!

Once the proof for the book arrives, I'll check it over, and if everything looks good, I'll hit publish.

So fingers crossed that it looks as good as it does online.
